Most likely related to both normal and winter wolves, mist wolves look like large wolves with slivery grey pelts and pure black eyes. They have intelligent, peaceful faces. Mist wolves are champions of law and goodness, and will fight, even to the death, to defend those in need.

Mist wolf packs number up to twenty, evenly divided between males and females; there will be half as many cubs as there are females. The pack is led by the strongest individual, who is usually, but not always, male. Mist wolves speak their own language and can understand Common and usually a few other languages as well. They cannot, however, speak humanoid languages.

Combat
Mist wolves attack in packs like common wolves do, harrying their prey and using numbers to take it down. They will only attack intelligent beings who have been acting in an evil manner

Cold Subtype (Ex): Cold immunity, double damage from fire except on a successful save.

Breath Weapon (Su): Mist wolves are capable of breathing out a thick, opaque fog that totally blocks vision, including low light vision and darkvision, in a ten-foot cube. Mist wolves can use this breath weapon twice per day.

Detect Evil (Sp): Mist wolves can detect evil, as per the spell, constantly, without the need for concentration.

*Skills: Mist wolves receive an additional +4 racial bonus to Wilderness Lore checks when tracking by scent.
